First Light by Beautiful Unicorn

Here's a quick little sneak peek at the album Ben Plotnick and I have been recording with Spencer Cheyne. We're still mixing and mastering but I thought it'd be cool to offer a glimpse of what we're doing for anyone who's interested! This is a tune that I wrote, called "First Light". It features Ben Plotnick on fiddle, myself on bass, guitar and banjo, and Jarred Albright (Lark Hill, McKeever's Crossing) on Mandolin.

We're going to be playing live at the Ironwood on February 9 with some special guests, so mark your calendars if you like what you hear! We're working towards gathering the funds to put CDs to print and do an official CD release, so if you'd like to have a lovely, fancy copy of the album come on out to the album fundraiser show February 9 and pick up a pre-release copy! More info on that event will be on facebook etc. soon.
